The Landscape I Love – From March 1 to April 2, 2025

As part of the Springtime for Rural Youth Arts, a cultural and educational event dedicated to promoting art among young people, the town of Essoyes joins forces with Riceys and Mussy-sur-Seine to showcase an ambitious and universal artistic project led by IMAJ – Center for UNESCO.

This event brings together artistic expressions from children around the world, all united by a shared theme that is both meaningful and inspiring for creative exploration.

Manuel Costa, known as CostaM – From May 3 to June 8, 2025

Manuel Costa, a painter based in Chessy-les-Prés in the Aube region of France, is a French artist celebrated for his vibrant and expressive works, filled with intense colors and rich textures. Born with a deep love for art, Costa is a self-taught artist who has explored various techniques and styles to develop a visual language that is uniquely his own.

Hugo Terracol – From June 21 to August 24, 2025

Known for his evocative and abstract paintings inspired by the principles of Chinese art and philosophy, Hugo Terracol delves into intangible elements such as light, air, and energy. His work stands out for its lyrical quality, often capturing the grandeur of natural landscapes — mountains, winds, and mist — not by directly depicting them but by conveying their essence through emotional abstraction.

Julie Karl – From September 6 to November 2, 2025

A native of the Côte des Bar in Champagne, Julie Karl, also known as Flowers Meadow, is a self-taught artist specializing in the demanding art of watercolor. A mother of three, it was her children who encouraged her to develop her gift for painting, portraying nature in all its forms, particularly the rural landscapes of the beautiful Champagne wine region — reminiscent of a certain Pierre-Auguste Renoir.

Fragrances by J. Pergolesi & T. Froehly – From May 4 to June 23, 2024

Photographic artist Thibaut Froehly and visual poet and artist Jérôme Pergolesi delve into the themes of nature and landscape, which naturally led them to collaborate through a personal vision. Rather than capturing a flower as it appears, their aim is to evoke its essence, merging fragrance with emotion. For both artists, it is this abstraction of the subject that renders it more real.

At the Dawn of Impressionism – From June 30 to August 25, 2024

The Renoir Association invites you to step back in time and “take part” in the first Impressionist exhibition.

Discover reproductions of some masterpieces presented in 1874 and their reception by the public at the time.

Jean-François Schick & Tonio Nunez – From September 7 to November 3, 2024

Explore the collective exhibition featuring local artists J.-F. Schick, who boldly experiments with color and form in his figurative paintings, and Tonio Nunez, whose sculptures merge creativity with sustainability through the ingenious use of recycled materials.
